On June 13, 2024, marked a significant event for the outstanding students and mentors of the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan as it held its 2024 Recognition Ceremony at the Meycauayan Convention Center. The event was hosted by Mr. Kim Nichole R. Larios and Ms. Girlie Jane L. Pagaduan.
The program started with the Philippine Anthem, followed by an invocation from representatives of Religious and Multi-faith Organizations. The Catholic prayer was led by Ms. Melissa Joy Z. Tutanes, followed by the prayer from Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) led by Gemmalyn O. Guiron, the Christian prayer by Eula Mae C. Pacsa, and the Muslim prayer by Raihana Marohomsalic. Awit ng Meycaueño was sung after the prayers, followed by the Opening Remarks delivered by Mr. Anjello G. Libao, the Acting Registrar of the College. Dr. Reneliza C. Sta. Ana, the College Dean and Acting College Administrator, also delivered a significant message to the crowd. Ms. Rhia Joyce O. Rulloda, the current President of the PCCM Student Government, gave an Inspirational Message to the attendees as she formally signed off from her role. The talented members of PCCM P-Style performed an intermission number to boost the energy of the crowd.
The Awarding of Certificate of Recognition was led by Prof. Frederick L. Berboso, Head of the Teacher Education Program, for TEP, Prof. Rose Kathleen G. Delos Santos, Head of the Office Administration Program, for PCCM’s OAP, Prof. Prof. Maria Sheryl O. Decillo, Head of the Hospitality Management Program, for PCCM’S HMP, Mrs. Maricar S. Ortaleza, PhD., PCCM’s Research Head, Dr. Ma. Paz G. Contreras Ed.D., SSAD Directress, and lastly, Mr. Alexander A. Lizardo, PCCM’s Sports Coordinator. The Awarding of Certificate of Recognition was also given to the outstanding student leaders and advisers of the different institutional organizations by ACSO (Accredited College Societies and Organizations). The institution’s mother organization, PCCM’s College Student Government, also received a Certificate of Recognition together with the College Publication, SCRIBES.
The event was formally ended by a Closing Remarks from Dr. Ma. Paz G. Contreras, Ed.D., which was also followed by the PCCM Hymn to end the ceremony.
