Graduates and students from the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan (PCCM) have officially embarked on a new chapter as they participate in the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Cash-for-Work Program. Deployment began on July 1, 2025, and includes individuals from various academic backgrounds such as the Teacher Education Program, Hospitality Management Program, and Office Administration Program. Alongside current students, PCCM alumni are also taking part in this initiative, showing continued engagement beyond graduation.

These participants have been assigned to serve in various key offices throughout Meycauayan City, including Barangay Halls, Daycare Centers, the Schools Division Office of Meycauayan, PCCM itself, and Meycauayan City Hall. Their tasks vary depending on their placement but all center on supporting public service and community operations.

The Cash-for-Work Program, facilitated by DSWD, not only provides much-needed financial support to participants but also acts as a training ground for professional growth. Through this opportunity, the students and alumni can gain hands-on experience, enhance their interpersonal and administrative skills, and contribute to meaningful public service—an ideal blend of civic duty and career development.

This collaboration reflects PCCM’s unwavering commitment to molding students into responsible, service-oriented citizens. By engaging both current students and alumni in real-world community service, PCCM strengthens its mission of fostering character, leadership, and a deep sense of civic responsibility.

As these individuals begin their journey under this program, they not only represent the strength of PCCM’s academic programs but also the enduring spirit of youth in service of the community.
