On October 7-8, 2024, Scribes, the official student publication of the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan (PCCM), kicked off the 1st Campus-Wide Higher Education Press Conference at the PCCM Annex Campus. This two-day event brought together over 160 participants from the Teacher Education Program (TEP), Hospitality Management Program (HMP), and Office Administration Program (OAP). Aimed at enhancing journalism skills among students and serving as a recruitment platform for aspiring student journalists, the first day of the conference featured intense competition across 12 categories in both the English and Filipino divisions. After a day filled with intense competition, the winners in all 24 categories—champions, 2nd placers, and 3rd placers—were announced on the second day during the awarding ceremony, which was hosted by Shander Lee T. Cordeta, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Filipino Department and Julie Anne F. Ampoon, Managing Editor of the Filipino Department. The Teacher Education Program (TEP) emerged as the overall champion of the press conference, followed by the Hospitality Management Program (HMP) as the 1st runner-up and the Office Administration Program (OAP) securing the 2nd runner-up position.
