On October 30, 2024, the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan (PCCM) held a significant event as the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) organized the “Accredited College Societies and Organizations (ACSO) Accreditation and Oath-Taking” ceremony at the Tanghalang Meycaueño in the new Meycauayan City Hall. From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, student leaders and their advisers gathered to recognize and accredit the institution’s organizations while equipping them with practical skills to enhance their operations. Following the early visit from the City Mayor and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Hon. Atty. Henry R. Villarica, who spearheaded the oath-taking ceremony during the morning LAYAG seminar, the afternoon session featured two insightful speakers. Mr. Michael C. Cariaga, a Teacher Education Program (TEP) instructor and adviser of Scribes, presented on “Upgrading Social Media Utilization and Management,” emphasizing the effective and efficient use of social media for organizational outreach. After his presentation, Mr. Cariaga received a certificate of appreciation for his impactful insights. The second speaker, Mr. Jayson H. Dizon, also a TEP instructor and adviser of the College Student Government (CSG), discussed the importance of the Constitution and Bylaws, highlighting their role in effective organizational governance and the need for regular revisions. Mr. Dizon was similarly recognized with a certificate of appreciation for his valuable contributions. The seminar concluded with a performance by Professional Style (P-Style) and closing remarks from Jericho M. Dela Rosa, CSG President. He shared his personal leadership journey and wrapped up with the inspiring message, “Hiraya Manawari – Sana matupad, sana mangyari,” reflecting the aspirations of all attendees. |
