As the holiday season ends, the hall of our beloved school, the Polytechnic College of the City of Meycauayan is once again brimming with anticipation. After a few weeks of celebrations, bonding with our friends and families, as well as enjoying our well-deserved rest, the time has come for us PCCMians to reignite our academic passion. Dont let the post-holidays bring your spirits down, instead, let us use this as a fresh opportunity to reach new heights.

As Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” Approaching our studies with renewed passion isnt just about passing exams and getting good grades; its about developing skills that you will need in your future as you try to achieve your dreams. Every classes you attend, every single second and hour you put on studying carves a path towards achieving your aspirations

The effort you invest today will pay off tomorrow, just like the best way to predict our future is by creating our path towards it. Are you in the TEP, hoping to inspire and guide the future generations? Or in the OAP, cultivating your management and leadership skills? Perhaps you’re in HMP, gearing up for the endless possibilities of the hospitality sector. No matter what your path is, all your efforts will lead you to a brighter future.

In order for us to maximize this semester, let us create specific goals. Put hours into studying, and surround yourself with the people who support and motivate you to do better. Let us also celebrate every accomplishment, no matter how small or big it is– whether it’s about doing great on a quiz or finishing a particularly challenging project, use your victories to fuel your drive to reach greater heights.

PCCMians, let us remember that every successful person started on where we are now. Just like how our choices shows what we really are beyond our capabilities. So let us always choose to remain curious, hardworking and always strive to be a better version of ourselves. Let us use the new semester to grow, and to shine even more as the hope for the future generations.
